The Scottish Affairs Committee of the UK Parliament will be conducting a series of three informal seminars in the south of Scotland,  in order to help scope the terms of reference for its new inquiry into issues that affect the south of Scotland.

They have invited a UNISON representative to attend from our Branch to meet some of the Members of the Committee on 16th June to give our members views on a range of issues affecting people who live in the region. The Committee are particularly interested in local incomes, wages and rents, job creation, the provision of services and transport links, and the broader question of whether the South of Scotland looses out at the expense of the Central Belt.

Please let us know of the issues which most concern you before Thursday 12th June.
