The Council have a new policy to deal with Job Evaluations.
The scheme allows all employees whose job functions have changed to ask for a new evaluation and if successful their additional pay will be backdated to April 2009 or whenever they started doing the additional work. You can apply even if in the meantime you have moved to a new job, or have been matched to a different job.
The regrading moratorium period may mean that some members will want to make a claim for more than one job which has changed.
What do you need to do
The application procedure is fairly simple but we would recommend that all members wishing to submit an application discuss it with the Branch first as the Job Evaluation Scheme is quite complex. The Branch will give you advice and also organise support at any future appeals.
