PENSION CONSULTATION

David Stainthorpe our Local Government Convenor and DGC Pension Board Member has attended the launch of the local government pension scheme structure review event held at the COSLA offices in Edinburgh.

The meeting was addressed by Derek Mackay, Cabinet Secretary for Finance who hoped to see more opportunities for investment by the LG Pension funds in local Scottish infrastructure projects.

Our LG Stewards will discuss the consultation paper and the various options under consideration.  UNISON will submit a detailed response to this consultation and would ask any members wishing to help contribute to this work to get involved by contacting us at info@unisondumfries.org.uk
