The programme will included introductory workshops for new young members, giving them a chance to learn about the history of unions, how they work and what role they can play. For more experienced young members, there will be a variety of workshops aimed at increasing their skills and knowledge to help progress in their union role, as well as looking towards their future for when they turn 27.

Group 1 is for young members with little or no experience, who haven’t attended any UNISON conferences, meetings, or training;

Group 2 is for young members who have attended before, or who have attended UNISON conferences, meetings, and/or training

How We Can Help

Watch this video to see how UNISON organising helps local members in action

The introduction of Universal Credit has the potential to significantly impact on the jobs of UNISON members working in Housing Benefit & Welfare rights roles . The Bargaining and Campaigns team are keen to hear from members working in these areas about what has , or seems likely to change, in their job as a result.

Please could you ask any relevant members to get in touch with me – with anything they want to say about .

1.What changes there have been since Universal Credit has been rolled out?
2. How much the shambles that the roll out has been has made or stopped things happening.
3. What changes do they see in their job happening longer term as a result of UC ?

Many thanks
