Hi there
Disability History Month
Disability History Month runs from 16 November – 16 December 2022.
See below for details on the launch of this year’s UK DHM, which is on “Disability, Health and Wellbeing”, with an email link to register. Its open to anyone so feel free to distribute.
Question Time Webinar, 22nd November 2022, 6pm – 7.30pm (MS Teams) – this will be a “Question Time” debate format, with panelists including MSPs from some of our main political parties, our General Secretary Christina McAnea, a Partner from Thompson’s solicitors, and a representative from a community group, The Disability Union. There will be set topics for debate, and anyone wishing to ask a question will be invited to submit it in advance to let us get as much out of the webinar as possible.
Access to Work Webinar, 13th December 2022, 2pm – 3:30pm (MS Teams)
This has been rescheduled from our original planned September date. Ticket sales have gone really well but there are a few remaining spaces if anyone’s interested. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/403365365667
H&S Seminar – Covid, 9th December 2022 (hybrid event, City of Glasgow UNISON Office, Bell St/ or MS Teams)
I’ve previously notified of this but just a reminder to look out for it. This is an event hosted by the UNISON Scottish H&S Committee supported by South Lanarkshire UNISON Branch and the UNISON Scottish Disabled Members Committee. This will be advertised later this month for people to sign up to via Eventbrite.
Best wishes,
Alison
